Grain Storage Jar (”tau chau”)

The jar is an architectural model of a grain store (the peasants would fasten it with a stick, and in the middle would bind it with ribbons of rush and raffia). This is a grave offering, among which we can count models of wells, tools, houses, defensive towers, giving us a lively picture of everyday life.
